2024 Summary
Happy New 2025!
From a technology point of view, 2023 was a great year. 2024 was even better. Here is a brief summary of the most important things that happened.
2023
When I look back at 2023, I can humbly, but proudly, recall two great achievements:
MAPFRE session at 2023 AWS re:invent in Las Vegas
At Amazon re:invent in Las Vegas, I gave a technical session on how MAPFRE improves Time To Market using Serverless Architectures and ExtremeAutomation.

You can check out the session here:
I was named one of top 10 Cloud Leaders in Europe
CIO Review named me as one of top 10 Cloud Strategist in Europe for 2023. Check out the details here.

2024
Somehow, 2024 was even better. Here are some of the most important things that happened.
Chaos Engineering Hackaton
Together with #AWS, we organised the Resilience and Chaos Engineering Hackathon in MAPFRE, where 8 teams did hands-on Reference Architecture implementations, using AWS Resiliency Hub to prepare, and Red Team attacks to compare.

Did a Keynote Session at RedHat AnsibleFest in Denver
At RedHat AnsibleFest in Denver, in May, I gave a Keynote on how MAPFRE uses Automation to improve Time to Market and reduce Downtime. You can see the entire talk here:
I gave a similar speech on RedHat Summit in Madrid, in October.

AWS Automation Podcast on Spotify
Guest at AWS Technology Podcasts in Spanish, “From Code to to Automation Strategy” October 2024. You can find this talk on YouTube, or on Spotify.
Founded Cloud & Beers
Cloud & Beers was founded, as a client-only group where we can openly discuss real world experiences on journeys to Cloud. We had a number of different gatherings during the 2024, and I think the potential is huge.

Cloud & Beers Meetup currently have 200 members, so feel free to join, and feel the taste of this “magic”: Join Cloud & Beers Community
